The Local Branches of the RSPCA are independently registered charities. This means that, despite public perception, we are not directly funded by RSPCA Headquarters, and as we receive no government funding or lottery grants, all work we do in the local area is supported and continued by direct donations to the Local Branch, and by any fund raising that we may do in our area.

Our charity shops raise much-needed funds and are a major source of income for the RSPCA Newcastle & North Northumberland Branch to support the the private boarding, veterinary treatment and rehoming of animals brought in to branch care by RSPCA Inspectors

Call in to one of our shops and discover what we have to offer. You'll get a friendly welcome while you browse through our well stocked shelves and rails for those must have bargains. Friendly staff are always on hand to help and advise. If you have time to spare and would consider joining our team of volunteers please call in for a chat.

There are bargains for everyone here – something the local residents have found out for themselves many times. They appreciate the large variety of goods in stock and know that, if they call in at just the right time, they can spot designer labels amongst our large selection of clothing. Lots of interesting items of bric-a-brac and toys, an impressive selection of books, videos, tapes and dvds also furniture and three piece suites. We are able to offer such variety because we can organize local collection and delivery of large goods.

You can support this valuable work by donating the items that you don’t use or need anymore. Our charity shops need your donations of clean, men’s, women’s and children’s clothes. We also need books, shoes, bric-a-brac, ornaments, Jewellery, antiques, household goods and toys and some shops also take furniture. We cannot take electrical goods or gas appliances because of the liability attached to selling them on.
It is important to note that our charity shops can only sell items that are in good condition, broken or damaged toys, furniture, crockery etc are not saleable. Apart from clothes (which can be recycled), donated goods that are not saleable have to be dumped by the charity, which costs us and eats into our valuable profits.

Every penny of profit countsTowards the care of the animals
Thank You
